What’s the difference between blender and juicer?

Are you more of an orange juice person or a smoothie convert, adding nuts and seeds or creating the occasional soup? We help you find the appliance that’s suited to your needs. As a general rule, juicers are best for that – juice.
They squeeze and extract the juice from fruits and vegetables by pushing them through a very fine sieve. The remaining pulp is then collected and disposed of. Blenders, on the other hand, blend all of the ingredients, so they retain a maximum of vitamins and nutrients.
This also makes them great for smoothies, dips and soups, or drinks with crushed ice.
Blender.
1. How much power do I need?

The more power, the more options you have: while all models are great for making smoothies, blenders with at least 1000 watts will be even better at blending hard or fibrous ingredients like frozen fruits or spinach leaves. And you will get better mixing results in less time.
2. Can I crush ice with my blender?

If you want to crush ice, we recommend a blender with more power. Many Bosch blenders come with a pulse function. This allows you to manually stop and start the blender for quick bursts and greater control. Some of our models also have a dedicated ice crush programme.
3. Which is the perfect tool for soups, hummus and dips?

For more demanding tasks we recommend blenders with more power, stainless steel blades and a pusher. Many models come with automatic programmes, so preparing soups, dips and sauces – and even ice-cream becomes effortless. For the best vitamin retention and taste, check out our vacuum blender.
4. How do I store my blended food?
Handy when you want to take your smoothie with you to work or to the gym: many of our blenders can directly blend into a ToGo bottle. Our vacuum models offer the ultimate tool for preserving freshness – they remove the oxygen before blending all your healthy ingredients. This technology also creates perfect storage conditions by vacuum sealing your smoothie before you put it in the fridge.
5. How easy is it to clean my blender?
Bosch blenders are designed to make the cleaning process as simple as possible. All feature dishwasher-safe parts and blades that can be rinsed under running water. Many models also have removable EasyKlick blades or automatic cleaning programmes, so it takes next to no time or effort to clean your blender.
Juicer.
1. What is the difference between a slow juicer and a centrifugal juicer?
When you need your fresh juice quickly and without fuss, a centrifugal juicer is your answer. It spins at a high rotation speed to extract the juice from oranges and other fruits by using powerful blades, stainless steel or ceramic sieves and a high centrifugal force.
Slow juicers are best for high quality juices with a maximum of nutrients. Working well on hard and soft fruit and vegetables, including leafy greens, they feature a large, slow rotating screw. This means, they don't heat up and so slow juicers better preserve nutrients. The result: a thicker, less foamy juice full of flavour.
2. How do I create a vitamin rich smoothie or juice?
To get the greatest amount of nutrients from your juice, we recommend a slow juicer. It gently squeezes out all the goodness with a large screw and presses it through a fine sieve. This creates less friction and heat compared to conventional centrifugal juicers. As a result, more vitamins and minerals are preserved in the process. For pure citrus juice fans, our citrus press range offers quick and convenient manual and automatic options.
